HOW long do the truffles stay fresh?
Refrigerate your Maya Moon Co. chocolate truffles upon arrival to preserve freshness for up to 6 months. Raw honey is a wonderful natural preservative, so we don’t need to include any additives to ensure a long shelf life. When stored at room temperature (not to exceed 80 degrees Fahrenheit), the truffles will keep for up to 2 weeks. That is, if you don’t eat them all before then…which we always do!
What is the best way to eat the truffles?
Most customers prefer the texture at room temperature, so if you are storing them in the fridge, we recommend removing them 30 minutes prior to when you want to enjoy them.
Regarding which flavor/chakra to choose, you are invited to eat the truffles as you feel called. You could take a journey from root to crown, eating one truffle each day for a week. Or you can open your box and select the color/flavor that is most delicious to you at that moment. Or you can close your eyes, take a moment to tune into your body, and pick the flavor/chakra that aligns with where in your body you want to send a little extra love. Your body knows exactly what will be best for you—tune into your wisdom and go where it leads you. Your embodied eating experience will be elevated with our guided meditations.
Truffles are even more delicious with friends. We love bringing a box or two to a party and having fun seeing which flavor each person selects.
HOw do truffles align my chakras?
Each truffle’s distinctive color and flavor is naturally derived from herbs, fruits and spices that work in harmony with specific parts of your body. For example, cinnamon, which we use for the heart chakra flavor, is excellent for increasing blood flow and supporting cardiovascular health.
