Shipping Policies
Thank you for your interest in Maya Moon Co.’s organic and sustainably-sourced cacao truffles and drinking chocolate. Orders will be shipped from our production kitchen in San Diego, California via FedEx and USPS. We ship our orders Monday – Thursday. Orders placed before 9 am PST will ship same day (order quantities permitting). Any order placed on Friday and during the weekend will ship the following Monday.
We do our best to ensure that the product arrives during the trackable shipping window, however, Maya Moon Co. is not responsible for delays by our shipping carrier. Please note, if you choose to ship via USPS, the delivery time is not guaranteed. Keep an eye on tracking information for your order for the most up-to-date information.
Maya Moon Co. offers free shipping on all orders over $75. Taxes and discounts do not apply towards to the minimum purchase requirement.
Membership & Subscription Programs
Your Moon Club subscription begins the 15th day of the next month after you sign up (unless you sign up prior to the 15th), and you will be billed on the 15th of each month automatically with the credit card on file in your subscription settings until you cancel. You save 20% by paying for the full year in advance, and 10% by paying for six months in advance. For yearly and six-month memberships, you cannot cancel until your entire 12-month or six-month membership is fulfilled. Shipping fees for your monthly box of truffles are included in your subscription fee. You may be required to pay additional shipping charges if you add additional products to your monthly order: we will notify you of this via email.
We will replace any products that arrive defective or damaged due to mail carrier issues.
If you move or would like to send your monthly box of chocolates to another location, please be sure to update your shipping address in your customer profile.
Warranties for Online Sales
If product is delivered melted, Maya Moon Co. will refund or replace the buyer’s full purchase. Note that we may require images for documentation purposes and to analyze future processes for shipping during summer months. Please email us if you have any issues so we can resolve them as quickly as possible!
Warm Weather
Our main goal is to ensure that our products arrive to you in the best condition. Since our cacao truffles do not contain the emulsifier soy lecithin or any other stabilizers or preservatives, it is very sensitive to heat. During warmer months, shipping options might be limited to avoid melting. During these months, we will only ship Monday-Thursday so that your chocolate will arrive the same week. Expedited 2-day shipping will be required when temperatures are over 74 degrees Fahrenheit. All orders during warm months will be shipped in insulated packaging, with cold packs.
International Shipping
Unfortunately, Maya Moon Co. does not offer international shipping at this time due to delays on product delivery that could affect quality during transit.
Returns
Maya Moon Co. will accept returns only in the event that the product arrives to you damaged, or in a defective state.
Holidays
Maya Moon Co. observes the following holidays and will not ship on these dates: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. For these holidays, we will ship the following business day (or the following Monday if these fall on Friday, Saturday or Sunday).
